Kupu was founded in 2007, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded on the principle of empowering future generations to create a more sustainable Hawai‘i. Our hands-on training programs educate and mentor the next generation to become stewards of our culture and the environment. Our programs place young adults on a pathway to success in both their personal and professional lives, providing them with the training, experience and skills needed to serve their communities and preserve our precious natural resources.
The projects featured reflect our cumulative portfolio and include several projects that have since stopped producing certified credits, may be pending credit issuance, or are under development. More information about our process can be found here.
